Turmeric Tea
Turmeric tea has many medicinal benefits. It serves to:
Detox the body, boost immunity, protect liver tissue, cleanse and purify the blood, ease symptoms of cold and flu, improve circulation, improve the skin, prevents internal blood clotting, reduces bad cholesterol, reduces inflammation, stimulates the secretion of bile from the bile duct, and more.
I drink this tea several times a week, and in particular when I begin to feel run-down. When I feel a cold or cough coming on, I will drink this several times a day to boost my immunity.
Ingredients:
4 tsp Turmeric
2 tsp Ginger
2 tsp Cinnamon
2 tsp Raw Honey
1 tsp Vanilla
pinch black pepper
1/2 c coconut milk
Boiling water
Directions:
Fill mug halfway with boiling water
Add turmeric and ginger
Cover and let steep for 10-15 minutes
Stir in cinnamon, black pepper, vanilla and honey
Fill the rest of the mug with coconut milk and stir.
Then drink-up.
