Matcha has many health benefits. I love that it boosts my metabolism, burns calories, and provides me with a nice boost in anti-oxidants and cancer-fighting properties.
I add matcha to smoothies, make vegan protein bars and gluten-free banana bread, but my favorite way to enjoy matcha is in a home-made latte.
Kristie’s Homemade Matcha Latte’
Ingredients:
1 c warmed sweetened coconut milk (carrageenan-free)
1 T warm filtered water
1 T raw organic honey
Directions:
Measure the matcha into a small bowl, then slowly mix in the water, making a paste.
Add all ingredients, including the match paste to blender, and blend well (scraping the sides of blender as needed).
Serve warm.
You can also make a cold version of this latte’ by doing the following:
use cold sweetened coconut milk instead of warmed, and add 1 c ice.
