Although I think that using my blender 24/7 is fantastic, I have had complaints from my family that 5 am is too early for them to hear the purrrrr (okay, rocket-booster explosive sounds) of my blender.
So now, for those crazy -early -busy mornings, I make my smoothies ahead. This is a simple-win-win for everyone–especially those who appreciate quiet early mornings in my home. Here is how:
Chose and prep your smoothie ingredients. (I use fresh, organic and seasonal produce whenever possible, and frozen when I have to.)
Then freeze your ingredients: in a Mason jar, or ice cube trays.
For my frozen -in -ice -cube- tray smoothie, I just pop the frozen smoothie cubes into my Mason jar, seal it and take it with me to work. By the time I arrive at my office, it is thawed and ready to be enjoyed!
I will take my unblended mason jar of smoothie ingredients with me to work, and when I’m ready to partake, I just add filtered water to desired consistency, along with my favorite GSGLife raw, organic protein and sprouted flax super foods, Blend it up, and enjoy!

Berry Green Smoothie
1/2 banana, peeled
1/2 cup blueberries
1/2 cup blackberries
1/2 cup raspberries
2 c spinach
2 cups filtered water (to desired consistency)
