Tropcial Green Protein Smoothie:
This simple tropical green smoothie has 25 grams of plant-based protein, for those of you who like to count your macros.
Personally, I focus more on eating clean whole foods, than on counting calories, protein, carbs and fat.
Nutrient-density should be your nutrition focus–when you eat nutrient dense, you eat more fruit, veg, seeds, nuts, healthy oils, and less packaged foods. If the food you eat doesnt have a label–that is a good thing. Foods without labels are clean, whole foods, full of nutrition=nutrient dense. Once per ounce, pound per pound, clean whole foods will win the nutrient war every time.
I recommend this way of eating to others, too. It’s all about avoiding the bad, and eating more of the good.
And keeping it simple.
Green Protein Smoothie
3 cups filtered water
2 cups spinach (3 grams)
1 scoop raw, organic, nonGMO vegan protein (15-17 grams)
1 T spirulina (4 grams)
2 T ground flax (3 grams)
1/2 banana (1/2 gram)
1/2 cup strawberries
1/2 cup pineapple (1/2 gram)
1 cup ice
Blend well; add more liquid or ice to desired consistency, and enjoy!
See how easy that ways?
Live Life Optimally,
