I love grilling veggies. It’s a fun way to enjoy the deliciousness of my garden.

Enjoy my favorite grilled green bean recipe and delicious marinade grilling sauce. The beans can be eaten alone, as a side dish, or as a topper to any salad. They are just that good!

Ingredients:

6 T Gluten-free Tamari sauce

2 T toasted sesame oil

1 tsp apple cider vinegar

2T white grape juice

1 tsp chili paste with garlic (see recipe below)

3 c green beans, washed, and ends trimmed

1 white onion, halved, and slivered

Directions:

Preheat grill/grill pan to medium high

Mix together all wet ingredients and a baking dish

Add green beans and onions to baking dish and let soak for 15 minutes, making sure they are coated well.

Add green beans and onions to grilling pan, and cook until beans are tender and onions are browned–about 8-10 minutes.

Remove from grill.

Arrange beans and onions on serving plate and pour any remaining sauce over the top.

Serve and enjoy!

Chile paste with garlic recipe: Use rubber gloves when preparing this recipe–chili peppers are HOT!

Select 10-15 organic hot red chile peppers—you can include some mild chili peppers if you would like to give it more of a mild flavor. You can also use dried peppers if you prefer.

Prepare the peppers: wash then, trim the stems, chopped

1 tsp sea salt

6 garlic cloves, peeled and chopped

2 T olive oil

Process all ingredients in a high speed blender or food processor until desired consistency. I like mine chunky, but if you like yours more smooth, then add filtered water 1T at a time and blend, until the paste reaches your desired consistency.

Variations to chili paste flavors:

Mexican flavor: Add cumin and oregano

Indian flavor: Add curry or garam masala

Northern African flavor “harissa”: Add coriander and cumin

ProTip: If using fresh chili peppers and fresh herbs, this paste will last up to 3 days in the fridge. You can freeze it for up to a month.

If using dried chilis and dried ingredients, you can leave it in the fridge for up to a month. And freeze it up to 3 months.

Enjoy!
