Summer brings so many great things into our days: sunshine, blossoming flowers, butterflies, blue skies, green grass, overflowing vegetable gardens, barefoot afternoons–and swimsuits.

If the later just made your heart flutter, you are not alone.

Wearing a swimsuit can be daunting for most, especially after a long Utah winter, and particularly for women over the age of 40.

Summer is tricky–travel throws of exercise schedules; kids are home from school so the pantry “somehow” is stocked with sugary treats, chips, and baked yummies; and there are so many reasons to celebrate with families and friends from reunions to birthdays.

Never fear, I of course, have a great solution that is not only delicious, but when you drink it regularly, it can help to reduce cellulite, generate glowing skin, stimulate weight loss, and boost your energy.

This swim suit ready smoothie will help you go for the green.

It’s loaded with nutrients that act as anti-inflammatories and antioxidants.

Drinking a quart of smoothies a day, loaded with greens, will change your body in simple ways you never dreamed possible.

Ingredients:

3 cups filtered water

2 handfuls organic baby spinach

3-4 basil leaves

3-4 mint sprigs

1/2 green apple

1 red apple

1 cucumber

1 lime, juiced

1 scoop vegan protein

1T ground flax

Optional: 1/2 c ice

ProTip: Add more or less water to desired consistency–double the recipe and make ahead for the next day to save time–store in mason jars in the fridge. OR: Freeze “left-over” smoothie in ice cube trays, and “pop” them out into mason jar, let them melt into your smoothie on your way to work or the pool.

Drink a quart a day, for 30 days, and you will see and feel the difference:

mood,

skin (cellulite and complexion),

and weight.
