Many people notice certain symptoms when they first begin to eat clean whole foods.
These symptoms are best describing what the body feels like when it begins to force the stored toxins and “yuck” our of your body from where they have been stored out into the lymph and blood system, out of the organ systems so they can be eliminated from the body through sweat, poop, urine and exhalation (breathing).
The symptoms, although uncomfortable, are an exciting sign that your body is cleansing itself, the way it does naturally, when given a chance.

These initially “yucky” symptoms should be a celebration of getting rid of the “crap” and moving forward into a cleaner, healthier you!

They are a good thing!

Really!

The way we live,

what we eat, and

how we treat our bodies rarely gives our bodies an opportunity to cleanse and repair the way it was made to.
Cleansing symptoms to look for when beginning to exclude toxins from your life, and eating more clean whole foods may include:
• Digestive imbalances (bloating, constipation, diarrhea, gas)
• Headaches, neck pain/stiffness, joint pain
• Sinus issues, congestion, stuffiness, post-nasal drip
• Energy levels changing (down or up; usually down while the body cleanses and repairs, then up)
• Skin rashes (eczema or psoriasis can get a bit worse before they improve as toxins move out thru the skin)
• Sleep interrupted, inability to stay asleep, sleeping more, sleeping less, etc. (neurotoxins leaving the nervous system can cause sleep disturbances)
• Joint pain, inflammation, or swelling in the fingers
* mood changes
Thankfully, these symptoms dont last long, and are a sign of healing.
The problem is, that sadly, most people wont wait-out the temporary discomfort, for a longer term benefit.

They just cant stand to feel uncomfortable for a few days while their does the intense work of repairing years of damage from stress; and from processed food, MSG, artificial sweetners, sugar and soda consumption.
So remember when you begin to eat clean, or if when order one of my DIY programs, these symptoms are signs of how awesome your body is at getting “yuck” out of you–

and repairing your cells, tissues, organs, and organ systems.

Practice good self-care

Rest and Hang in there.
Most symptoms will pass in 3-5 days.
