This is one of my favorite smoothies. It reminds me of spring and gardening my strawberries–I cant wait to get the strawberries going in the garden again!
Strawberry Banana Goodness Smoothie
Ingredients:
1 c filtered water (or coconut water)
1 c frozen strawberries (or fresh)
1 banana
1 c spinach
1 scoop vegan protein
1 T ground flax
Optional: Ice
Directions:
Add all ingredients to blender and blend well. Add more fluid is you desire a thinner smoothie consistency.
And remember my good, better, best rule: it is best to eat organic, pesticide-free, fresh produce. Gardening keeps your cost down, so garden when and where possible.
But cleanly washed and frozen produce work, too, and better than not eating your fruit or veg at all.
Avoid canned fruits and bottled juices in your smoothies–too much and often too many preservatives.
Keep it simple.
